“We had the privilege to start working with Ariel during my child's freshman year in high school.
Prior to that, they struggled academically as a result of their OCD and executive functioning challenges - despite being very intelligent, they just couldn't crack the code of achieving at the high school level. One AP class in particular kept them up at night, and they could not complete assignments for it without tremendous struggle. They started the year with an F during the first quarter! Once they started meeting with Ariel, she was able to teach them a different way to approach the reading and workload with tremendous results. It was like Ariel pulled back the curtain on a secret - after a few sessions, they started to feel more confident with the material and way less intimidated by their workload and tests. They finished the school year with all As and Bs, and even got a 5 on that AP test! More importantly, we did not have the daily hand-wringing and anxiety about going to school and doing homework, and we had a happier and more confident kid as a result.
